OverThrone
OverThrone is a vertical slice of a fantasy-inspired, 3rd person action boss fight only game. It features difficult yet rewarding combat to attract more hardcore gamers, and a vibrant and stylized art concept to attract younger and less experienced gamers.
A second-year major project at AIE with a team of 6 people. Built using Unreal Engine 4.20 with C++ and blueprints.
The tasks that I was responsible for implementing were:
Programming all gameplay mechanics and UI Logic using Unreal’s API in C++ and blueprints.
GitHub integration with the project.
Developing the AI behaviour of Mordath (the boss enemy).
Implementing a complex Finite State Machine for both characters (player and boss)
OverThrone Studios is comprised of AIE graduates.
